California's only Smithsonian Affiliated Aquarium is ready to open once the City and County of San Francisco allow us to reopen.Īs the 'Shelter in Place Public Health Order for COVID 19' continues through Week 16 in San Francisco, the Aquarium of the Bay needs your help and support more than ever. We are asking for the publics support during our now 16 weeks of shut down. Plans were made, staff was recalled back to work, the front of the aquarium was decorated patriotically for the 4th of July Weekend and then we were informed by the Mayors Office our opening was paused.
